Truro Voters Face Saturday Deadline Ahead of State Primary
TRURO — Truro residents have until Saturday to register to vote or cast an early in-person ballot ahead of the Sept. 1 state primary, and the town library has booked journalist David Corn for a Saturday talk and a virtual lecture on Black botanical history for later in the week.
TOWN HALL
Saturday, Aug. 22, is a double deadline for Truro voters: it is both the last day for in-person early voting and the voter registration cutoff for the Sept. 1 state primary, according to the town's election guidance posted this week. The town has previously detailed new ballot colors, party rules, and faster poll-pad check-ins for the primary, a story the town's News Flash also covered earlier this month.

Truro Library has journalist David Corn scheduled to appear Saturday, Aug. 22, part of the library's packed late-summer calendar. Later in the week, the library hosts a virtual talk, "When Trees Testify: Reclaiming America's Black Botanical Legacy," with author Beronda Montgomery, set for Tuesday, Aug. 25.
