Truro Library Launches 'Plant a Seed, Read' Program
TRURO — The Truro Public Library has launched a new "Plant a Seed, Read" initiative this month, made possible by the Friends of the Truro Library, adding one more offering to a packed slate of summer programming at the North Truro branch.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The library's "Plant a Seed, Read" program is now underway, funded through the Friends of the Truro Library, the nonprofit that supports the branch's programming budget. Details on format and sign-up were not specified in the library's announcement, but the initiative joins the library's ongoing summer lineup at 7 Standish Way.
COMING UP
The Truro Select Board and the Board of Health both meet Tuesday, August 18. At the library that same day, patrons can join a Mahjong session, the Children's Community Garden Group, or an author talk with novelist Susan Choi.
On Wednesday, August 19, the Planning Board holds a 5 p.m. session seeking public ideas for new zoning bylaws, while the library hosts "Share the Shore with Seals" and a "Food for Kids" program. Mahjong returns to the library Thursday, August 20.
