The Town of Truro announced a holiday light recycling program running from Oct. 31, 2026 through Jan. 30, 2027.

Residents can bring old, broken or unwanted holiday string lights to the town's transfer station for free recycling during that period. No transfer station sticker is needed for lights-only drop-off.

All 15 Cape Cod towns are taking part in the seasonal collection, which is run with Cape Cod Cooperative Extension and AmeriCorps Cape Cod.

Residents can find a list of accepted items and other details on the Cape Cod holiday light recycling page.
