Truro to Add Assistive Toolbar to Town Website
TRURO — Truro will roll out a new Assistive Toolbar on its town website in the coming weeks, giving visitors tools to personalize how they view and access town content, according to a News Flash posted this week.
TOWN HALL
The town's Digital Accessibility Update, posted Aug. 27, says the new toolbar will let residents adjust the site to work best for their needs, part of an ongoing push to make town government information easier to reach online.
Separately, the Select Board is scheduled to hold a joint work session Thursday, Aug. 27, with counterparts from Eastham, Wellfleet and Provincetown, continuing the four towns' regional conversation on water supply and wildfire planning, a topic that has drawn Truro into exchanges with Provincetown and Barnstable County officials in recent weeks.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Truro Public Library has launched Plant a Seed, Read, a new program made possible by the Friends of the Truro Library, according to the library's latest news post.
The library also welcomes author Lucy Foley on Thursday, Aug. 27, for "High Altitudes and High Stakes: A Miss Marple Mystery," and hosts Toast and Jam with Tim Dickey the same day.
COMING UP
In-person early voting for the Sept. 1 state primary opens Thursday, Aug. 27. That same day, the library hosts a Homeless Prevention Council outreach session and Mahjong, in addition to the Lucy Foley talk and Toast and Jam. On Saturday, Aug. 29, the library offers Spin Art Bike and a Moon Circles session with Donna.
Residents seeking a full year of town childcare voucher funding must apply by 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31.
